Noticeboard
WNN is focused on building a community that will support each other and work together towards a connected landscape of healthy ecosystems and flourishing indigenous wildlife.
To achieve this we have created this noticeboard where groups can request volunteers for working bees, and offer or request resources and support for conservation projects.
Add a notice to this noticeboard by submitting a form here.

Kaitiaki/guardian/s wanted: Thomsons Ford Reserve
Wairau Nature Network has set up Thompsons Ford Reserve as a demonstration site, where we’re trialling, learning and showcasing different approaches to native planting and restoration.
We’re looking for one or more local people who could keep an occasional eye on the site – checking that the young trees and guards are doing OK, maybe doing some plant releasing if you feel inclined, but mainly giving us a heads-up if anything needs attention, and letting us know about any issues.
There’s no heavy lifting involved! Any larger jobs will be taken care of by the Wairau Nature Network team or organised as a working bee.
It would be less than an hour, about once a month. Take the family, bring the dogs, and enjoy the fresh air and a bit of serenity.
